Changes to the AP SSC Class 10 exam pattern
- No Weightage for Internal Marks: In Class 10 board examinations, there will be no consideration of internal assessment marks. This means that students will be solely evaluated based on their performance in the written examinations.
- Examinations for 100 Marks: The SSC board examinations for Class 10 will consist of a total of 100 marks. This is a departure from a grading system and will rely on numerical scores.
- Six Paper Pattern: The examination pattern will consist of six papers, covering various subjects. These subjects include 1st language, 2nd language, 3rd language, mathematics, general science, and social studies, each with one paper.
- 100 Marks for Each Paper: Each of these papers will be held for 100 marks. This means that students will be assessed comprehensively in each subject, with the potential for a full score of 100 marks.
- General Science with Two Papers: The subject of general science will have two papers. These papers will cover physical science and biological science. Importantly, these two papers will be held on different days and will have a duration of two hours each.
- 1st Language Composite Papers: For the 1st language subject, there will be two composite papers. Paper 1 will be for 70 marks, and paper 2 will be for 30 marks. This split assessment suggests a comprehensive evaluation of language proficiency.
In summary, the Class 10 SSC board examinations will have a total of 600 marks (6 papers x 100 marks each). Internal marks will not be considered, and students will be assessed based on their performance in these written examinations. Additionally, the general science subject will be divided into physical and biological science papers, each with a duration of two hours. Lastly, the 1st language subject will be assessed through two composite papers, with different mark allocations for each.
