NFL Ranking: There was some debate at the start of the season about which division would be the best in the NFL in 2023–24.
1. Ravens (2)
Baltimore? Who is the best in the league? Consider this: no team allows fewer points per game (13.8); the Ravens’ +115 point differential is 35 points more than the next-closest team; and the Ravens have blown away two NFC divisional leaders (Detroit and Seattle) by a combined 75-9 in their last two home games, outgaining the Seahawks by over 400 yards. And when WR Odell Beckham Jr. scores his first touchdown since Super Bowl 56 and rookie RB Keaton Mitchell rushes for 138 yards on his debut NFL touches is just icing on the cake? Look out for the Cleveland and Cincinnati squads that will be visiting Baltimore in the next two weeks.

2. Eagles (1)
The league’s only 8-1 squad, and the first to do so in consecutive seasons since Peyton Manning’s prime in Indianapolis in 2006. But, with gimpy QB Jalen Hurts still dragging his leg around, the bye week has come at the best time – not to mention that the Phillies have Kansas City, Buffalo, San Francisco, Dallas, and Seattle on the other side of the break. However, Hurts has matched Manning’s (2008-10) record of 12 consecutive regular-season wins versus opponents with winning records.
3. Chiefs (3)
K.C. is currently the top-seeded team in the AFC (again), and it also has a bye week before the Super Bowl rematch versus Philadelphia in Week 11. The current AFC champions are allowing just 15.9 points per game, the fewest in Andy Reid’s 11-year tenure.
4. 49ers (5)
They just had the best off week in recent memory, acquiring DE Chase Young for a pittance, giving injured LT Trent Williams and WR Deebo Samuel much-needed rest, and regaining a first-place tie in the NFC West following Seattle’s blowout loss.
5. Jaguars (4)
Following their Week 9 bye, the road warriors will only leave Jacksonville once more in the following four weeks. Beating the Niners on Sunday would be a significant accomplishment.
6. Bengals (10)
“(W)e’re back, and we’re here,” said WR Tee Higgins following Cincinnati’s fourth straight win overall and sixth in a row at home in prime time (a team record). This season, there will be no more (planned) home dates under the lights.
7. Lions (7)
Jahmyr Gibbs, the team’s rookie running back, with a league-leading 132.3 yards per carry in three games. Perhaps keep him in the starting lineup despite the fact that war hammer RB David Montgomery is expected to return from a rib injury?
8. Cowboys (6)
Four of their next five games are at AT&T Stadium, and the next three are against teams who are a combined 12 games under.500. Very good chance to make hay in the NFC East ahead of the rematch with Philadelphia in Week 14 – especially if WR CeeDee Lamb keeps hot (30 catches for 466 yards in the previous three weeks).
9. Bills (8)
They’ve only got one more away game (at Philadelphia) before December 10 – a nice opportunity to right the ship considering the advantage Buffalo enjoys at Orchard Park … and perhaps to attempt to evolve this offense beyond QB Josh Allen running or throwing to WR Stefon Diggs.
10. Dolphins (9)
For those keeping score at home, that’s 39 points per game in six wins (all against non-winning teams) and 17 points per game in three defeats (all against expected playoff teams).
