Kendall Jenner’s younger sister, Kylie Jenner, operates a cosmetics firm called Kylie Cosmetics as well as a clothing line called Khy. Kim, her half-sister, has various enterprises, including the Skims shapewear line. Khloe, on the other hand, has a denim firm called Good American, and Kourtney owns a health and wellness company called Poosh.

Kendall Jenner, 28, revealed in an interview with Forbes that she frequently forgets Kris Jenner is also her mother. The 818 Tequila entrepreneur discussed how she distinguishes her business and familial relationships. She stated, “My mom is my mom, but she’s also my manager. We have moments when we’re talking on the phone, and we’re talking about business, maybe having a heated conversation about something, and then all of a sudden, she’s like, ‘OK, I love you. How are you feeling today?’ and I’m like, ‘Oh my god, yeah, you’re my mom, too!’”
Kendall Jenner’s tequila business, 818, helped her rediscover herself
Kendall Jenner, the model, announced at the Forbes Under 30 Summit in Cleveland in October 2023 that running her own business had helped her rediscover herself. Kendall, unlike her sisters, has launched her tequila brand privately, with no flashy Instagram advertising. She expressed her thoughts on the subject, saying, “We wanted to get true, honest feedback. I wanted the liquid and the brand to stand on their own and for people to love it without me even having to be a part of it because I just wanted it to be that good.”

Kendall Jenner believes that becoming a company entrepreneur allows her to better understand herself
Kendall has a soft spot in her heart for tequila. She credits her fondness for it to her parents, who consumed it on a regular basis when she was growing up. Her love for it became stronger as she grew older. Kendall did blind taste tests for her family and friends during the pandemic. She would pit their favorite tequila brands against her new offering. Kendall stated, “With modelling, I was a part of someone else’s vision. I was their character and whoever they wanted me to be at that moment. The shift into being a founder and owning my own business was a really cool way of getting to know myself again.”

Kris Jenner, 68, an investor in her daughter’s tequila brand, commended Kendall’s business talents. Kendall’s efforts with the brand was also praised by the mother of six. She stated, “Kendall has been very independent about this process and really shown me that she’s not only an amazing businesswoman, but super-smart, super-focused, [has an] amazing work ethic. She has every single part of what it takes to be in her position, and she’s nailing it.”
