Finally, Shah Rukh Khan’s “Dunki” trailer has been released. Amidst all of this, Vicky Kaushal, SRK’s co-star, shared a never-before-heard anecdote about having to film with the actor’s body double.
The ‘Baadshah’ of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, requires no introduction. Over the course of his three-decade career, the actor has given us a few box office hits. 2023 was a memorable year for Shah Rukh and his supporters because of his exceptional acting in the two films he directed, Jawan and Pathaan, which left everyone in disbelief. As of right now, Shah Rukh is getting ready for the December 21, 2023, premiere of his next movie, Dunki. Vicky Kaushal and Tapsee Pannu are among the other actors in the film. Occasionally, tales have been told about Shah Rukh’s unwavering dedication to his profession and his modesty. However, the same thing occurred when Vicky revealed anecdotal evidence from Dunki’s filming days.

Vicky Kaushal shared a story from his time spent filming Dunki with Shah Rukh Khan
Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani recently adorned the “Koffee” couch. Vicky Kaushal praised Shah Rukh Khan and related an instance in which the actor was unable to collaborate with him on a film. Vicky mentioned that Shah Rukh Khan was unable to attend a crucial Dunki shoot because he had to rush to Delhi for some pressing business. Vicky, however, had to perform in that scene using SRK’s body double. Vicky stated, “I’ll share an incident, one of the shoot dates, he had to rush to Delhi for some very important work and it couldn’t have happened at another time or another day and it was a very critical kind of a moment in the film for my character which was with him and he just couldn’t be there for that shot and I had to give that shot with a body double and he had to rush”.

Vicky Kaushal also discussed what transpired in the conversation when SRK was unable to provide him with cues during a crucial scene in Dunki. Vicky said that SRK had called him late on that particular day, but he was attending an event and was unable to answer. But in a lengthy message, SRK expressed his regret to Vicky for being unable to film with him. The actor from Uri went on to say that Shah Rukh kept telling him they would reshoot the scene even though it was already approved. Vicky elaborated on the same by saying, “After he got done with his work which was like insanely important in Delhi, late in the night, he had called which I missed because there was an event and then he messaged me. A long message saying, ‘Vicky, wo shot hum dobaara karenge. I am really sorry I missed that, I couldn’t be there to give just the cues, I couldn’t be there, We’ll do that shot again’. I had to call him and convince him ki nahi Raju sir is happy and it went okay and there is no need and pata nahi mujhse waapis hoga ki bhi nahi but I was nervous, But he was like, no, we will do it again, I am feeling terrible that I couldn’t be there”.

Vicky Kaushal heaped praise on Shah Rukh Khan for his tenacity
Vicky Kaushal continued the conversation by saying that Shah Rukh was pleased with the pictures in which he was posing with the latter’s body double. Showering SRK with praise, Vicky said that he realized how much less he is doing at this age after meeting the former, who puts his all into everything he does. Vicky is audible as saying, “He was happy with those shots and only then he was okay with that. That’s him. I met him and I realised how little I am doing at this age. He just gives a 100 per cent like if he is talking to you, then 100 per cent of his being is talking to you and not a degree away from you. He is just something else.”
Vicky Kaushal said that it was like a dream come true to work with Shah Rukh Khan
Earlier, Vicky Kaushal talked candidly about his experience working with Shah Rukh Khan in an interview with Bollywood Hungama. The Sam Bahadur actor said that he considered it a “dream come true” to work with Shah Rukh Khan. The actor went on to say that although he and SRK didn’t have a lot of in-depth conversations, he eventually understood why the latter is known as the “Baadshah” of Bollywood. Shah Rukh is something else, he continued.
