South Korean gymnast Son Yeon Jae has given birth to her first child, a son. The ecstatic mother gave USD 74,900 to the hospital’s OBGYN department, where she had her first child.
South Korean Olympic gymnast Son Yeon Jae is become a mother! The 29-year-old rhythm gymnast began her career in front of our eyes, entering the ring as a pre-teen. Yeon Jae competed for the South Korean national team and won the all-rounder championship trophy at the 2014 Asian Games. Aside from that, Yeon Jae won the bronze medal in the 2010 Asian Games all-around competition and has won the Asian Games all-rounder trophy three consecutive times.
Aside from her magnificent professional accomplishment, Yeon Jae has an equally fascinating personal life. She married her non-celebrity husband in August 2022 and has since kept their romance private. Son Yeon Jae announced her engagement in April 2022, stating that she planned to marry in October, however she married in August.

Son Yeon Jae, the highest-paid athlete in South Korea, has welcomed a baby boy
Son Yeon Jae announced on a live broadcast in August 2023 that she is expecting her first kid with a non-celebrity husband. On February 20, 2024, her agency, Next Euphoria, released a public statement declaring that Yeon Jae had given birth to a newborn boy and that both mother and son were well. They also stated that Yeon Jae gave KRW 100 million to the OBGYN department of Severance Hospital, which is around USD 75,000. The statement can be interpreted as,
“Son Yeon Jae recently gave birth to a healthy son. In addition to the birth, she has donated KRW 100 million to the OBGYN department at the Severance Hospital.”
Son Yeon Jae contributed KRW 50 million to the children’s hospital following her wedding
Son Yeon Jae has generously donated her hard-earned money to hospitals before. In 2022, when Son Yeon Jae married, she contributed KRW 50 million to the Severance Children’s Hospital. Which, when translated to USD, equals 37,500.Yeon Jae explained that she believed the department needed her donation following her delivery experience there, so she did what she thought was best for the hospital. In her words,
“Through my personal experience of childbirth, I felt that the OBGYN department needs lots of support and I decided to donate to them.”
