On Saturday, November 2, 2024, legendary actor Shah Rukh Khan, who many consider to be the last of the stars, celebrated his 59th birthday. For security reasons, the Jawan actor did not continue his yearly custom of waving to his followers from his home in Mannat, much to the dismay of his admirers. They did have a small treat, though, when Shah Rukh saw them at an indoor meet-and-greet. He responded to the numerous queries from fans while dancing to his well-known songs. In addition, he revealed a lot about his smoking habit.

‘SRK Day’ was an indoor meet & greet that Shah Rukh Khan visited at the Bal Gandharva Rang Mandir auditorium, organized by his Bandra fan organizations. He had a great time dancing for the crowd and answered their questions during a lively Q&A session.

However, he also disclosed that he had given up smoking, which was a significant announcement. One of his fan groups uploaded a video from the occasion, and it has been going viral on the internet. Fans were yelling and cheering with joy as the celebrity said,
“There’s a good thing – I’m not smoking anymore, guys.”
After making the joyful discovery, Shah Rukh paused to discuss the negative consequences of his resignation. The celebrity said that he was still breathless after stopping smoking, even though he had anticipated not feeling that way. Nevertheless, Shah Rukh added, “Inshallah,” expressing his optimism that he would soon begin to feel better.

For those who don’t know, Shah Rukh Khan previously admitted to smoking 100 cigarettes a day in an interview with India Today. According to the actor, he preferred cigarettes and black coffee to water. He had also made a joke about how when he stopped taking care of himself, he felt more cared for by others. In his own words,
“I don’t drink water. I have about 30 cups of black coffee and I have a six-pack. The less I take care of myself, the more I get taken care of.”

Both Shah Rukh Khan and his admirers appear to have had a great time at the event. As his fan clubs overflowed with videos from the ‘SRK Day,’ the celebrity himself moved to Instagram to express gratitude to everyone who attended and contributed to the celebration of his birthday. He captioned the photo, which included a photo of him doing his trademark open-arms gesture during the event,
“Thank you for coming over and making my evening special… my love to everyone who made it for my birthday. And for those who couldn’t, sending you all my love.”
