She emphasized that while she never gave a damn about statistics, she was really grateful to social media for having such a wonderful influence. She uttered, I’ve never really cared about that stuff. I suppose I’m grateful for the platform, and I would love to continue to use it for what I’m able to do, but numbers are just numbers.
Having a far-reaching platform, Selena Gomez revealed that she is fully aware of the responsibilities that come with it. She has received messages from numerous fans about how her work has helped them through tough times. She said, It can be a little heavy. I feel for people, and I think that’s what kind of keeps me in check, to be honest.

When talking to young people who have encountered difficulties in their lives, the Who Says singer also acknowledged that she might sometimes act irrationally with her emotions. Selena emphasized that having such a large following on social media and a lot of responsibilities may occasionally be frightening. She uttered, I think I can be a little reckless with my emotions and having conversations with young people, and women who are going through divorces or going through chemo — it’s not just about me, and I’m fully aware of that. I will just always cherish it. It’s a big responsibility, though. It’s a little scary.

Selena Gomez spoke candidly about her battle with mental illness and her aspirations to become an actress in the hit series Only Murders in the Building. Selena has achieved success as a singer, actor, and owner of the cosmetics company Rare Beauty, but she currently has no intentions to publish a book. Added her, Oh no, I don’t know. I’m not wise enough. I don’t think I can do that. But does it mean that one day I wouldn’t be interested? I have fun things I would like to say, but not right now.
Selena Gomez does not want the release of her documentary, My Mind and Me
My Mind and Me, a documentary on Gomez’s six-year struggle with autoimmune disease, mental illness, and the demands of celebrity, was published on Apple TV+ last year. She expressed her strong opposition to the documentary’s release. Selena also said she wouldn’t ever watch the documentary again. Many people’s eyes were raised by this, to which she responded that it was because the documentary contained facts that she had kept private and felt awkward disclosing to everyone.
She said, I was very against it. There was a very long period of time where I just didn’t know if it was a good idea. I knew, eventually, one day, I wanted to maybe just be an actress for a while, and I didn’t know if it would jeopardise things in my life. I don’t know what I’m doing, letting people into my life. And then the moment it was released … I had no choice at that point. And I was relieved. I felt like a huge weight was lifted.
