Allu Aravind, Allu Arjun’s producer-director father, made an odd remark on ‘KGF’ celebrity, Yash. As a result, the experienced filmmaker was roundly chastised by netizens.
Allu Arjun is the son of Allu Aravind, an Indian film producer, distributor, and businessman, and his wife, Nirmala Allu. Allu Aravind, the owner of Geetha Arts, is recognized as one of the most successful producers in the South Indian cinema business. Following in his father’s footsteps, Allu Arjun has carved himself a successful career in the Telegu cinema industry. Allu Arjun is renowned as one of India’s highest-paid performers, and he has won multiple prizes, including a National Film Award, six Filmfare prizes, and three Nandi Awards. Allu Aravind explains why his production company makes little films
Allu Aravind celebrated the trailer premiere of the upcoming Telegu film, Kotabommali PS, directed by Teja Marni and starring Meka Srikanth, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Rahul Vijay, among others, on November 7, 2023. Throughout the discussion, Aravind was addressed questions concerning the impact of actor fees on a film’s budget. However, while discussing the same, when Allu Arjun’s father made a ridiculous remark regarding prominent actor Yash, the latter’s fans became enraged and severely insulted Aravind.
Allu Aravind remarked at the occasion that his production company, Geetha Arts, is currently focusing on developing little films due to a lack of funds. The renowned filmmaker was then asked if a film’s finance is related to performers receiving higher pay after the film’s success. Aravind was also asked if the film’s budget increases because the performers demand a large salary, mentioning his son, Allu Arjun, and other prominent people in his family who demand a hefty remuneration for any movie. Aravind responded by rejecting that actor’s pay lead to rising film expenses and explaining, The lead actor of a movie gets only 20 to 25 per cent of the film’s budget as remuneration. So, it is not true that the budget for the film will increase because of his fees alone. On top of actors’ fees, a lot of money is spent to make the movie a big venture.

Allu Aravind weighs in on Yash’s popularity
However, as Allu Aravind tried to illustrate the answer, he used another popular actor, Yash, as an example. Aravind stated that he only became famous with the release of his successful films, KGF and its sequel. Thus, rather than stating that his fees did not result in a large budget, Aravind noted how the ‘richness’ of the film boosted the actor’s career. Allu Aravind added, Who was he before the release of the KGF movie? Why did that movie make noise? It was that richness that led to the success of the movie. This is just one example. Whoever the hero of the movie is, it is because of the making that it attracts the audience.
Netizens criticize Allu Aravind for his response to Yash
As soon as the clip of Allu Aravind’s comment about Yash was posted on social media, the latter’s followers became enraged and mercilessly blasted him. While one user compared his son, Allu Arjun, to Yash and commented, “Even Allu Arjun was a small hero in the tier-2 range, who used to compete with Vijay Devarakonda until his big movie Alavaikuntapuram lo”, another KGF fan stated, “KGF is special only because of Yash.” It’s unthinkable without him. His contribution is as follows. “What’s the matter with this guy?” Look at the comments:
