Chief minister of Delhi and AAP leader, Arvind Kejriwal arrested by ED in liquor probe.
Arvind Kejriwal has been arrested by Enforcement Directorate inquiry on Thursday in the liquor scam case. After arrest of Jharkhand’s Fifth Chief minister, Hemant Soren, Kejriwal becomes the second sitting chief minister to be arrested. Arvind Kejriwal stated that, he will remain the chief minister and will be ruling from jail.
Enforcement Directorate had sent summons to Arvind Kejriwal many times to talk on liquor probe but Kejriwal was skipping it due to other issues. He challenged the summons in court, calling it unconstitutional. This case is related to liquor probe, Which was canceled after allegations of corruption. Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh have already been arrested in the same case.

After the arrest of arvind kejriwal, App leaders protested against it. Even opposition also criticise this act of ED. App leader urgue for urgent hearing over this arrest in the Supreme Court. But Court told that there would be no hearing in midnight. Meanwhile App party asked its workers to assemble and protest headquarters in Delhi’s ITO on Friday at 10 am. And also asked for organise nationwide demonstration outside offices of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

BJP leader Jaiveer Shergill said, Anyone who tempers with evidence and influences the witnesses will be arrested and will not be granted bail.
