On January 24, 2024, the actress’ agency, IOK Company, confirmed the news and issued an official statement on her behalf, stating that the Hallyu actress is ready to embark on a new chapter in her life. The statement can be interpreted as, “Cha Chung Hwa is joyfully preparing for motherhood, and she has shared this wonderful news with her loved ones.”
