About Dr.Bhavika Dhingra
Myself, Dr.Bhavika Dhingra and I started my ayurveda journey in 2014, when I was admitted as a BAMS student in Ch Brahm Prakash Ayurved Charaak Sansathan. I completed my graduation in 2020 and I knew with due course of time that Ayurveda has great potential but it still needed to be proven and luckily the COVID Wave helped us to know about it’s potential. I have worked with many hospitals and have also seen the work of many hospitals and organizations in the promotion of Ayurveda. Currently, I am working as an Ayurveda consultant with Vaidyashree, and soon I will start my journey as a PG scholar in Ayurveda.

How she became doctor and the story behind this
Dr.Bhavika Dhingr says that she never thought that she would become an Ayurvedic doctor. But she has wanted to become a doctor since childhood. Bhavika’s father is also a doctor. He got inspiration to become a doctor from his father. But her family did not believe that she could become a doctor. The family members used to laugh at the thought of him becoming a doctor. Bhavika says that she got good marks in 10th grade. Then her family members gave her some hope that she could do something. Then I prepared for NEET but I could not get a seat in MBBs. After which, I took admission in Ayurveda. After taking admission, I worked hard day and night and today I have become an ayurvedic doctor. Let us now know about some important things related to Ayurveda.
Who is an Ayurvedic doctor?
Ayurvedic doctors treat patients by using herbal medicines made from trees and plants. These medicines do not have any side effects. It does not have any side effects on people’s bodies. To become an Ayurvedic doctor, you will have to obtain a BAMS degree. Only then will you get its title. BAMS’s full form is Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery. This course has a total duration of 5 years and 6 months.
Educational qualifications to become an Ayurvedic doctor:
The total duration of BAMS is 5 and a half years, along with a 1-year internship. Students who want to take admission in this course should have a minimum educational qualification of a 12th pass in physics, Chemistry and biology. Eligibility for admission to this course is determined through several entrance examinations. Students who have done MBBS can also enroll in postgraduate courses in Ayurveda. Students who are interested in research work can get opportunities through the Central Council for Research in Ayurveda and Siddha (CCRAS).
