To avoid competing with Prabhas’ “Salaar,” Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani are reportedly considering delaying the release of their movie, “Dunki.”
It’s safe to say that Bollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan owns the year 2023 because to his two record-breaking blockbusters, Pathaan and Jawan. The actor isn’t finished, though; Dunki, his third movie of the year, will still be released in theaters in the latter half of 2023. Prabhas, a South Indian star, will attempt to put the horrors of Adipurush behind him with the success of Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire while Shah Rukh Khan aims to complete a hat trick of blockbusters.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki And Prabhas’ “Salaar
Both movies have acclaimed directors; whereas Rajkumar Hirani oversaw Dunki, Prashanth Neel is in charge of Salaar. Famous cinema critic, Taran Adarsh first stated that Shah Rukh Khan and Prabhas would be competing against one other at the box office with their respective films, Dunki and Salaar, back in September 2023. There are still chances that the clash won’t occur, Manobala Vijayabalam, a well-known film industry tracker, revealed in a tweet on October 11, 2023.

There is a rumor that Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani intend to delay the release of their movie Dunki, according to Manobala Vijayabalam. Prabhas will therefore likely be prepared for a solo box office debut around Christmas, which would significantly raise the likelihood that the film will be a smash hit. Although there has been no official confirmation as of yet, Prabhas’ enormous online following is jubilant at the early rumors. On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan’s supporters are adamant that this is all just a rumor and that their favorite actor will release Dunki around Christmas.

Not everyone is aware of the alleged conflict between Shah Rukh Khan and Hombale Films, the production firm behind Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire. For those who don’t know, Hombale Films’ K.G.F: Chapter 1 was released in 2018 against Shah Rukh’s Zero, and the former has defeated the South blockbuster on the worldwide market. While K.G.F: Chapter 1 was successful domestically, Shah Rukh’s international following allowed him to compete fiercely against Yash’s movie despite its failure as a storyline.

According to sources, Hombale Films hopes to surpass Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki both domestically and internationally this time around. Producers of the K.G.F. movie series are apparently confident that they can hit Shah Rukh even harder this time because of the series’ overall success. Rajkumar Hirani is one of Bollywood’s most well-liked and successful directors, nonetheless. Dunki can be Shah Rukh’s third big-budget movie in a single year because the director is recognized for introducing story-based movies to Indian cinema.
