Han So Hee was dressed casually in a shirt and trousers with a multicoloured sweater, and a ring on her ring finger was plainly seen in the photos provided by Dispatch Korea on Instagram.

As soon as the photos were shared, netizens speculated that Han So Hee was wearing a couple’s ring after confirming her relationship status with Ryu Jun Yeol. However, OESN, a South Korean media site, later stated that the band worn by the actress was a friendship ring rather than an engagement ring. The report stated, “After confirming with Han So Hee, the ring on her fourth finger is a friendship ring. It’s a birthstone ring made with her friends from her hometown.”

Han So Hee and Ryu Jun Yeol’s romance news quickly turned into a scandal when the latter’s ex-girlfriend, Lee Hyeri, entered the picture. She left a mysterious post on her Instagram account. Hyeri shared a photo of a stunning afternoon sky with palm plants in the foreground. She captioned the story “That’s fun.” This sparked speculation that Lee Hyeri was making a jab at her ex. She even unfollowed Ryu Jun Yeol when relationship rumors involving Han So Hee arose online. Furthermore, Han So Hee published a post on her Instagram story portraying a puppy holding a knife, which was seen as her response to the ongoing rumors. She wrote, “Puppy in image: Explain this situation to me. I don’t even like people who have a lover. I don’t even keep them under the title of a friend. I don’t take an interest, establish relationships, or interfere with other people’s relationships. I like the program Transit Love, but it’s not in my life. It’s fun for me too.”
Soon after posting this on Instagram, Han So Hee confirmed in a lengthy blog post that she was indeed dating Ryu Jun Yeol. The actress also revealed that her connection with the Reply 1988 star began after he split from his ex-girlfriend, Lee Hyeri, in 2023. So Hee and Jun Yeol began dating at the beginning of 2024, and the actress stated that there was no overlap with Jun Yeol’s past relationships.
