PV Sindhu: Sindhu has had a disappointing 2023 season for a player of her caliber, but she will be hoping for a fresh start as the season comes to a close.
PV Sindhu, a two-time Olympic medalist, announced on Sunday that she will be training at Prakash Padukone’s Bengaluru academy in the run-up to the Paris Olympics. “In my setup, Prakash sir is taking on the role of mentor. I began working with him at the end of August, and it’s been an uphill battle ever then.
He’s more than a mentor to me; he’s my leader, my guru, and, most importantly, a true friend. I am convinced that he holds the magic to bring out the best in my game. “I am so grateful he reached out to me with a single phone call while I was in Japan, and we’ve built on that connection exceptionally well,” Sindhu tweeted earlier this morning.

She added: “Dear sir, I AM PUMPED!! Looking forward to training with you!”
Sindhu has been battling with form, and according to reports, the shuttler is suffering from a sore left knee. Sindhu expressed her thoughts on the matter, saying, “Definitely nothing major.” But I need to relax for a few weeks before beginning my rehabilitation. Because the Olympics are the ultimate goal. But first and foremost, my goal is to return perfectly fit. Coming back and playing is not a sure thing.”

Padukone, India’s renowned shuttler, is confidence in her ward’s ability to regain form. Padukone confirms that the long-term goal is Olympic gold, the only medal Sindhu has yet to win. She had earned a silver medal in Rio and a bronze medal in the previous games in Tokyo.

“The long-term goal is Olympic gold.” Nothing less will suffice. Along the way, I’d like to win the All-England title because I believe it’s one of the toughest tournaments on the circuit,” Padukone was cited in the report as saying.
