IIT Indore announced that Dr. K Sivan, a renowned space scientist and former head of ISRO, has been named as the board of governors’ chairwoman for a three-year term.Ten new academic programs, including a BTech in Space Science and Engineering, have been launched by IIT Indore.
IIT Indore tweeted on “X” that it was “honored to have Dr. K. Sivan, former chairperson of ISRO and former secretary of the Department of Space, as the chairperson of the board of governors.” According to the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore, Dr. Sivan will take the place of Professor Deepak B. Phatak, whose contract expired on August 21.
