Susan Benson, one of the duo’s fellow passengers in AIR Canada wrote about the event in a Facebook post, saying that the passengers had been nasty to the flight attendant before being asked to leave the aircraft.
Two female passengers who had purchased tickets on an Air Canada aircraft from Las Vegas to Montreal were asked to disembark after they objected to sitting on seats that were coated in vomit. Susan Benson, a fellow traveler of the pair, wrote about the event in a Facebook post. She claimed that the travelers were ordered to depart the plane when they refused to sit in their seats.
“There was a slight stench, but we weren’t sure what the issue was at first.
“It appears that someone vomited there on the previous trip. Before boarding, Air Canada attempted to clean up quickly, but it was obvious that they could not clean the area fully. She continued by mentioning that there was vomit residue in and around the chairs, in addition to the seatbelt being wet. In an attempt to mask the odor, the airline staff sprayed perfume, but to no avail.
Benson added that the customers were direct with the flight attendants but not harsh, telling them that the vomit stench on the seats would make it impossible for them to travel for a five-hour flight. However, the situation became tense when the flight’s pilot ordered the passengers to either disembark the aircraft or join the no-fly list.
The two women had two options: They could leave the plane of their own free will and arrange flights on their own dime, or they would be escorted off the plane by security and put on a no-fly list, according to Benson in the post . The two passengers were then led off the plane by the aircraft security. Later, Air Canada apologized to the two passengers for their conduct and stated that the situation was being carefully looked into.
