Desirable :

- Applicants should have prior experience working as Senior Fireman or Fireman Grade-I in a regular Civil/Defense Fire Brigade.
- The general firefighting course at the Defence Institute of Fire Research, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi, or the Sub-Officers Course at National Fire Service College, Nagpur, or any other comparable accredited course, should have been completed by the candidates.
Fireman (Erstwhile Fireman Grade- II) :
- Applicants must have completed their matriculation or an equivalent program.
- Candidates must have passed the following test and be in good physical condition, able to perform demanding tasks: height when barefoot Cm = 165. Given that members of the Scheduled Tribes will be granted a height concession of 2.5 cm, Measurements of the chest: 81.5 cm when not expanded, 85 cm when expanded 50 kg is the minimum weight.
Endurance Test :
- Carrying a man (Fireman lift of 63.5 Kgs to a distance of 183 meters within 96 seconds)
- Clearing 2.7 meters wide ditch landing on both feet (long jump).
- Climbing 03 meters vertical rope using hands and feet.
Pay scale
