In a moving speech, Radhika Merchant describes how she was taken aback by the opulent decorations during her and Anant’s pre-wedding celebration and how guests responded to it.
Anant Ambani and his fiancee, Radhika Merchant are counting the days to hop on to the next chapter of their lives. The duo will reportedly get married in July 2024, and their pre-wedding festivities have already begun in Jamnagar. Anant and Radhika’s families hosted a three-day-long star-studded event to celebrate the duo’s union, and glimpses of the same are simply unmissable.
On the first day of her pre-wedding celebrations, Radhika Merchant gave a moving speech
On the first day of their pre-wedding celebrations, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant took the stage and offered moving speeches. Radhika welcomed everyone and expressed her gratitude for their participation in the momentous occasion. She thanked the visitors for travelling from all around the world to visit their world and said:
“Hi everybody, good evening. Thank you so so much for being here. Like Anant said, we are extremely humble that you have all made it from around the world to come to our home. Thank you once again from me, Anant and both our families.”
Radhika Merchant says that the setup during her and Anant’s pre-wedding caught her off guard
When discussing the plans for her and Anant Ambani’s pre-wedding celebration, Radhika revealed that their families worked very hard to make everything come together. She also disclosed that she was taken aback when she arrived because she had no idea it would be such a big occasion. Radhika went on to say that her mother-in-law, Nita Ambani, was the reason for everything.
“When Anant and I decided to get married, the one place we wanted to celebrate was Jamnagar. The hard work of our families and the dedication that Nita aunty has to making all of our dreams a reality has made this possible. We have been extremely, extremely indulged. I have seen all the events with all of you for the first time today. I had no idea what was going to happen. I was so surprised when I walked in. People are asking me, ‘Is that normal?’ I said it’s normal if you have a mother-in-law like Nita aunty.”
Radhika Merchant praises the Ambani clan’s women for being her role models
In addition, Radhika Merchant discussed the significant women in her life and gave them credit for the contributions they made to both her and Anant’s lives. The singer praised Isha as their ferocious guardian and praised Nita Ambani for everything she does for her children. In her address, she also showered respect on her sister, Anjali Merchant, and jethani, Shloka Mehta. It was heard that Radhika said,
“Anant and I are so, so lucky to have some of the most amazing women on this Earth as our influences. Nita Aunty, who will move heaven and earth for her children. Isha, who is our most fierce protector. Shloka, you are the kindest person, and I would be completely lost without you. Anjali, you are the force behind anything good that I have in me. Mumma, you are our safe place.”

The importance of Jamnagar in Radhika Merchant and Anant’s lives is revealed
Radhika Merchant gave an explanation of the importance of Jamnagar in their lives, stating that it was there that she and Anant were raised and grew close. She went on to say that they wanted to start their eternal journey here alone because this is where they fell in love and developed their connection. She said as she went on,
“For Anant and me, Jamnagar is where our heart is. This is where we grew up, where we became friends, where we fell in love and where we built our relationship. Now as we begin our future together, we will be doing it here and we are so thankful that you get to see the beginning of it.”
