Jawan movie box office collection day 2: Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster continues its global rampage, surpassing the Rs 200 crore revenue milestone.
On Friday, director Atlee’s Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan added another huge amount to its nett domestic revenue after smashing the record for the biggest-ever opening in Hindi movie history. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Jawan movie earned Rs 53 crore on day two, which is nearly as much as SRK’s previous film, Pathaan.
Pathaan held the record for the largest opening day in Hindi film till Jawan movie outperformed it by nearly 20% on Thursday. On day one, the masala action picture grossed Rs 74 crore across all languages in India, significantly surpassing Pathaan’s record of Rs 57 crore. The film’s two-day nett total in India is Rs 127 crore, with an estimated Rs 53 crore on Friday. Sacnilk is aware of this.

Jawan movie is also available in dubbed Tamil and Telugu languages, and it marks SRK’s first pan-India release. Along with Atlee, the film stars South Indian actors Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi as the protagonist’s love interest and enemy, respectively. The Hindi version of Jawan had a 42% overall occupancy across the country, with night shows providing the highest (70%).
On day two, Mumbai recorded 43% occupancy, while the NCR region reported 53% occupancy. The Hindi version did best in Chennai for the second day in a row, with 66% occupancy. On day two, the Tamil and Telugu versions of Jawan achieved 40% and 57% occupancy, respectively.
Red Chillies Entertainment announced on Saturday that Jawan movie had earned Rs 240.47 crore worldwide in just two days. On social media, it stated, “Winning hearts and BreaKING records! ❤️🔥”
Ramesh Bala, a trade analyst, agreed. According to Box Office India, the film has grossed Rs 230 crore globally and is expected to gross around Rs 500 crore in its opening weekend. Meanwhile, Gadar 2 was hit again. On Friday, the film crossed the Rs 510 crore mark at the domestic box office, and it is still chasing Pathaan’s all-time record of Rs 543 crore, unless Jawan breaks it first.
As fans celebrate the success of Atlee’s Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan, businessman Anand Mahindra has made an unusual suggestion: the actor be designated as a “natural resource.”
Mahindra’s tweet has received more than 21,000 likes. “Many actors will come, and many will succeed, but perhaps SRK is the last of the stars,” an X user said. He’s taken celebrity to new heights. I haven’t seen many of his films, but the way he carries himself is admirable.”
Another user said, “Well said @anandmahindra sir. I have been to 15 countries, met so many people from different cultures, countries and languages, whenever I used to tell them I’m from India first thing that used to come out of their mouth was SHAHRUKH KHAN. I LOVE INDIA. KING KHAN IS VERY GOOD.”
On Thursday, Jawan movie was released. It made nearly Rs 75 crore on its first day at the box office. Shah Rukh Khan plays two characters in the action thriller. Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, and Sanya Malhotra also appear in the film. Deepika Padukone makes an appearance as a special guest.
