While millions of people are praying for people’s safety, famed Telugu actor Jr NTR announced his safe return from Japan to India in the middle of the natural disaster. On January 2, 2024, he took to X (previously Twitter) to express his condolences after seeing nature’s wrath in the nation he had just visited a week before. Thanking the people of the nation for their assistance in his swift recovery, he wrote, “Back home today from Japan and deeply shocked by the earthquakes hitting. Spent the entire last week there, and my heart goes out to everyone affected. Grateful for the resilience of the people and hoping for a swift recovery. Stay strong, Japan.”
RRR, Jr. NTR’s film, has previously been marketed in Japan
Jr NTR has a long and affectionate relationship with Japan, which he has visited many times. For example, in 2022, the actor, who was promoting his film RRR at the time, visited the nation.The picture grossed a whopping 410 million Yen at the Japanese box office. When converted to INR, this amounts to around Rs. 24.13 crores.
