Following the victory, KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan rejoiced with his teammates.
When I saw Shah Rukh Khan on Sunday, I couldn’t believe he had been hospitalised a few days before for heat stroke. Maybe the Kolkata Knight Riders’ courageous performance against SunRisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2024 final in Chennai on Sunday was the explanation. KKR won the league stage and then demonstrated complete dominance to secure their third IPL title in style. SRH was no match for KKR, scoring only 113, which the latter chased down with more than nine overs to spare.
Following the victory, KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan rejoiced with his teammates. However, one celebration involving Rinku Singh has gone viral. During the jubilation, Khan and Singh can be heard saying “God’s Plan yo baby” several times.

Following his team’s third Indian Premier League (IPL) title, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bowling coach Bharat Arun praised pacers Harshit Rana and Mitchell Starc for their season exploits, describing the latter as the “best bowler in the world”.
The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by eight wickets on Sunday at Chennai’s Chepauk Stadium, thanks to an all-round performance that included fiery spells from Mitchell Starc and Andre Russell, as well as a half-century from Venkatesh Iyer.
Following the game, Bharat informed reporters, “He (Harshit) has been exceptional. It’s about leveraging your strengths. [On Starc] I believe Mitch’s addition to the club bolstered the confidence of the team’s other young players. He’s undoubtedly the best bowler in the world. He was outstanding after he comprehended the Indian environment.”

Harshit was the fourth highest wicket-taker this season. The 22-year-old grabbed 19 wickets in 13 outings for an average of 20.15, with his best figures of 3/24. Starc also performed well for KKR. The franchise’s massive buy, valued Rs 24.75 crores and the most expensive IPL player ever, gained momentum towards the end of the competition. Starc took five wickets in the playoffs, when the club needed him to be at his best, including a three-for against SRH in qualification one.
Bharat also heaped appreciation on spinners Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine. He also stated that sending Narine to begin the batting was mentor Gautam Gambhir’s idea, and it paid off handsomely as it offered new dimensions to the team’s batting.
“Spinners mature with age, and Sunny and Varun’s tandem bowling was exceptional. [On Narine, the batter] He added a completely other dimension to our batting. Gautam pushed that he open, and it paid off. It’s been a wonderful night, and now it’s time to celebrate.”
