After three important wickets were taken by Noor Ahmad with the ball, the chase was controlled by the Afghan top-order batting as Rahmanatullah Gurbaz, Ibrahim Zadran, Rahmat Shah, and Hashmatullah Shahidi carried the victory over Pakistan in overwhelming form.
Returning to Pakistan, they won two games convincingly, but a setback to India and a tight loss to Australia leave them with little room for error. Fortunately, there were plenty of positives for Babar’s men in their loss to Australia, with Usama Mir demonstrating that he fully deserved to start ahead of Shadab Khan.
The same surface that was utilized for the India vs. Australia game on October 8 will be used for the match between the two Asian countries, and considering the firepower in both squads, it should be a thrilling affair.
