According to Zoom, in a recent interview, Saif Ali Khan discussed his father, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. When the actor misses his father, he turns to ancient papers and documents featuring his late father for comfort. Saif recalled his early experiences, saying that as a child, he used to read cricket books. The actor stated that he used to feel proud when he saw his father and grandfather, the Pataudis, on the pages of these books.

Saif stated that his father accomplished a lot with only one eye. For those who are unaware, Mansoor Ali Khan was traveling by rail in 1961 when he was involved in an accident. At the time, a cracked windshield permanently damaged his right eye. Saif remembered the type of guy his father was. To this, the actor added that Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi was always cool. Saif also mentioned that his father used to tell them humorous stories, and that his support meant everything to his children and teammates. Saif could be cited as saying, “As a person he was cool under fire, very calm at all times. He told the funniest stories and his quiet support would mean the world to us, his children, as it did to his teammates.”

When asked about his father’s legacy, Saif Ali Khan responded that his father’s legacy and family were always with them. Speaking about his father’s life experience, Saif stated that Tiger Pataudi had an incredible life, from the famous cricket grounds to his Delhi house and beyond. Saif’s words, “His legacy to us, his family, is always present: a sense of honor and elegance; style and dignity in all things. He had an incredible life, I believe: from the jungles and palaces of Bhopal to the rarefied atmosphere of Winchester and Oxford, to the great cricket grounds around the world, to his home in Delhi, where he would lounge in his kurta lungi, reading and watching birds and squirrels in the garden through his window.”
