SAIL Recruitment 2023 : Applications for the post of Attendant cum Technician (Trainee) (NAC) are being accepted online by Steel Authority of India (SAIL) from competent and motivated applicants. The candidates will be chosen based on the results of a computer-based exam and a skill test, per the official SAIL Recruitment 2023 notification.
Calls for the skill test will be made for candidates who clear the CBT exam. In order to apply for the specified position, candidates must be no older than 28. Following a one-year probationary period, the selected candidates will work for two years as trainees. Up to Rs. 300 is required for both the application and processing fee.The only candidates who are exempt from paying the application fee are departmental, SC, ST, PwBD, and ESM candidates.
According to the official SAIL Recruitment 2023 announcement, the candidate needs to have completed an apprenticeship program in a designated trade for at least a year at an integrated steel plant, as well as have a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) from the National Council for Vocational Training. For the aforementioned position, there are 85 available spots. The chosen applicants will receive a salary of up to Rs. 35070 per month. Age restriction

Ex-Service men (ESM), who have put in not less than 6 months continuous service in the armed forces, will be allowed age relaxation to the extent of military service plus three years against reserved/unreserved vacancies as per government guidelines. Departmental candidates (employees of SAIL) will be given relaxation of 10 years over and above the upper age limit. However, the upper age limit for the departmental candidates will be 45 years, irrespective of the category of the candidate.
Qualification Standerd
Applicants are eligible to apply for SAIL Recruitment 2023 if they have completed their apprenticeship training in a designated trade for at least a year, graduated from an integrated steel plant, and have a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) from the National Council for Vocational Training.
Pay scale
Candidates who are selected for SAIL Recruitment 2023 will be entitled to a competitive compensation package. During the initial year of training, they will receive a stipend of Rs. 12,000, which increases to Rs. 15,000 in the second year. Following the successful completion of their training period, these individuals will enjoy a monthly salary within the range of Rs. 25,070 to Rs. 35,070, subject to a 3% increment. In addition to their base salary, they will also gain access to a comprehensive benefits package, including medical care for themselves and their families, a provident fund, gratuities, and long-term care, all in accordance with company policies.
Tenure
As per the official SAIL Recruitment 2023 announcement, the successful candidates will embark on a rigorous and comprehensive journey that includes a two-year training program to equip them with the essential skills and knowledge required for the role. Only the application fee needs to be paid by departmental candidates, SC/ST, PwBD, ESM, and others.

Procedure for Selection
The results of the computer-based test (CBT) and skill test will be used to determine SAIL Recruitment 2023 selection. Admit cards are available for download on SAIL’s official website for candidates. The written exam date will be announced separately.
- Exam (CBT): A 50 percentile score will be used to calculate the minimum qualifying marks for unreserved posts and EWS in the online test (CBT). The minimum qualifying score for SC/ST, OBC(NCL), PwBD, and other candidates will be a 40 percentile score, ONLY for positions designated for them.
- Skill Test : Candidates will be shortlisted for the skill test in the ratio of 1:3 category-wise and in order of merit among those who pass the exam (CBT).
