Shilpa Shetty discusses seeing the finest era of her career
An actor’s job is always risky, and it always depends on a delicate balance of good and evil. In a similar vein, Shilpa Shetty claimed in an interview with Pinkvilla that she has experienced dramatic highs and lows during her career. She stated the pinnacle of her career that she has seen since. In her words: “Itne utar chadhav dekhe hain maine. I think I’ve seen the highs, I’ve seen the lows, and every phase comes with teaching you something. I think and believe that this is the best phase of my life as an actor. I’ve learnt so much. I’ve done diametrically different roles. I’ve had the courage to pick up the roles.”

Shilpa remembers working hard in her 20s to attain the basic essentials
Shilpa Shetty then strolled down memory lane back to the 1990s, when she was just 17 years old and had to negotiate her life in such a competitive sector as movies. The diva noted that she worked tirelessly all the time in order to meet her basic needs and realise her ambition of owning her own home and automobile. She mentioned: “I think the first 20 years of my career just went in working without putting that much thought. We came from the 90s. I was working because I wanted to buy my first car, I wanted to move into a bigger house, came from a middle-class family and for a 17-year-old when you start out those things, the perspective is very different.”

Shilpa Shetty has worked with famous director Rohit Shetty on the upcoming police universe series film, Indian Police Force. For those unfamiliar, the film also stars Sidharth Malhotra and Vivek Oberoi in major roles. Speaking about her part in the next film, the diva said that it is her first time portraying a policeman. Furthermore, she communicated her son, Viaan’s response to the situation and mentioned: “Mumma, I don’t care how you have to do it and I really mean this and it was really that made me realize what it means because he caters to that audience – kids love his movies, masses love his movies. If you are able to cater to that audience, you’ve hit a home run. So that was one of the reasons that I wanted to play this part and then uspe to sone pe suhaga tha mere liye when I heard the character, it was Tara Shetty.”

Shilpa previously described being body-shamed after gaining weight post-pregnancy
Shilpa Shetty previously said in an interview with Bollywood Bubble that she was widely chastised for gaining weight shortly after giving birth to her first child, Viaan. During her pregnancy, the diva naturally gained weight and said that she did not want to lose it for eight months. However, she criticised how many people mocked her for it since she was a member of the competitive beauty industry.
