Shilpa went on to say that things were different then and made comparisons between Gen-Z children and children from her generation. The actress went on to say that her 11-year-old son Viaan behaves older than his age. Shilpa continued, adding that he doesn’t pay attention to her:
“I was quite an average student, and had my group of friends. But we are talking about 30 years ago! Things were different then, people were different, and those days we kids listened to our parents! I have an 11-year-old who is going on 30 and does not listen to me! It’s just a different time.”

“I think I’m able to do so much because I’ve that encouragement from my husband and the people around me. I also have been brought up in a home where I’ve seen my mum work all the time. So, that sense of work ethic, respect and the whole value system come from there where I think it’s okay to have your mum work for ten hours and you only get to see her on weekends.”
