Gypsy Rose Blanchard, who was forced to pretend for years that her mother was critically ill and who then enlisted the help of her former lover to kill her, revealed her pregnancy on Tuesday, expressing her desire to provide her child with everything that she was denied as a child.
The baby is due in January, which will be just over a year after Blanchard was released from a women’s jail northeast of Kansas City, Missouri, according to a YouTube video she posted.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s counsel claimed that Dee Dee Blanchard misled medical professionals into performing needless operations by claiming that her daughter’s medical records had been destroyed in Hurricane Katrina.

According to the lawyer, the mother suffered from Munchausen syndrome by proxy, a psychological condition in which parents or other caregivers fabricate or exaggerate their children’s diseases in an attempt to win over their loved ones.
The mother-daughter team was given philanthropic funds by Habitat for Humanity, along with a house close to Springfield, Missouri.
According to the probable cause statement, Gypsy Rose Blanchard gave her then-boyfriend a knife when she turned 23 and then hid in a toilet as he repeatedly killed her mother. After meeting on a Christian dating service, Gypsy traveled by bus to Nicholas Godejohn’s Wisconsin residence, where they were apprehended.
Godejohn is incarcerated in Missouri for life. Because of the abuse Blanchard had suffered, the prosecutors made a settlement. Soon after her release, she stated, “I finally found a way to forgive myself and my mother,” while promoting her own e-book, “Released: Conversations on the Eve of Freedom,” and the Lifetime documentary, “The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard.”

In the most recent video, Blanchard acknowledged that she was aware that some people believed it was too soon for her to become a mother. However, she dismissed the idea that anyone is ever really prepared to become a mom.

But Blanchard and Anderson broke up not long after she was released from prison, and she is now back with Urker. Although Blanchard and Urker are thrilled and determined to start a family together, they both mentioned that the pregnancy wasn’t anticipated.
Although she acknowledged that the relationship is unusual, she remarked, “I couldn’t be happier.” “Everything that has ever happened to me in my life has suddenly become irrelevant since it has all shaped who I am now and brought me to this exact moment. Additionally, that’s a blessing.”
