Sushmita Sen remembered how she felt her historic victory at the Miss India contest came as a surprise.
Sushmita Sen is renowned for her excellent personality and wealth of skills, making her a role model for others. The diva began her career in show business when she won the Miss India competition in 1993. A year later, in 1994, at the age of just 18, she won the Miss Universe title. Aside from that, Sushmita has made a name for herself in the film industry as an amazing jewel and is regarded as one of the most outstanding actors of her generation.
Sushmita Sen remembers how unexpected her Miss India victory was
Sushmita Sen recounted the monumental occasion of her Miss India and later Miss Universe victory in a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble. The diva said that she never intended to win at the Miss India level in the first place. She first realized the worth of representing one’s own country at such a renowned level, though, when she won the following level.
Sushmita explained her journey in further detail, mentioning, I won Miss India, which I wasn’t expecting. And now comes the big onus of representing your country at Miss Universe, which India has never won before. So, you already have people saying ‘The best of the best have gone there and have not got it, where will this girl go.’ And, I’m thinking once in a lifetime opportunity. I want to go there wearing ‘India’ and come back with something that no one has ever done before. I want to be India’s first. And that was driving enough force where just mummy, daddy, me and my brother were supporting me at that time.
When Sushmita disclosed that she had Addisons disease
Sushmita shared in-depth details of her battle with Addisons disease, an auto-immune ailment, in the same interview. She said that when she was initially diagnosed in 2014, large dosages of steroids were the only treatment recommended. The diva did, however, mention that her health issues had a significant negative impact on both her business and personal lives.

Sushmita talked about her struggles with adopting her daughter
Sushmita had gained notoriety for her decision to adopt her daughter Renee at a young age. Sushmita noted how it was a difficult court struggle and gave credit to her father for persuading the judge in her earlier interview with Tweak India.
Sushmita’s admission that Renee and Alisah don’t require a father in their life shocked everyone
Sushmita Sen stated that her children Renee and Alisah do not miss having a father in their life in a prior interview with Siddharth Kannan. The former Miss Universe continued by stating that they had no sentiments for someone they have never met.
Sushmita revealed her daughter’s response to the prospect of her getting married, They don’t miss having a father figure because they have never had a father. You only miss what you have. And now, when I suggest to them that I should get married, they will be like, ‘What? For what? I don’t want a father’. But I may want a husband, it may have nothing to do with you! They don’t miss a father. They have Tata, my father and their grandfather. He is everything for them. Anytime they need to have a father figure and a great example, he is the man.
