Eligibility criteria for aspiring candidates

1. Position and rank
Candidates should be retired from the rank of Deputy Secretary or its equivalent, i.e., from the post in Level 12 of the Pay Matrix as per the 7th CPC (pre-revised GP of Rs 7600/- in PB-3) or as Under Secretary or equivalent, i.e., from the post in Level 11 of the revised pay matrix as per 7th CPC (pre-revised GP of Rs 6600/- in PB-3) from any Ministry or Department of the Government of India.
2. Experience
Candidates should possess a minimum of two years’ experience in handling vigilance and disciplinary cases at the Deputy Secretary or Under Secretary level in any Ministry or Department of the Government of India.
3. Technological proficiency
Candidates should have knowledge of the workings of computer applications in the day-to-day functioning of the office.
Age limit and remuneration details
In alignment with the official notification of UPSC Recruitment 2023, candidates should not exceed the age of 64 years as of the closing date. Remuneration for successful candidates will be as follows:
- For persons retired with NPS, an amount equivalent to 30% of the last pay drawn at the time of retirement shall be deducted from the last basic pay. The resultant amount will be the fixed monthly remuneration.
- Additionally, the consultant shall be entitled to a transportation allowance at the rate applicable at the time of retirement.
