Ranbir Kapoor said why, after hearing the script for ‘Animal,’ he raced into the bathroom and spent six to seven minutes in there.
Fans of Ranbir Kapoor are intrigued after seeing the trailer for his forthcoming flick, Animal. In the trailer, the gorgeous actor appeared to be a far cry from the upbeat characters he usually plays. The film, directed by Sandeep Vanga, depicts Ranbir’s intense love for his father, Anil Kapoor. Animal depicts a lot of violence and has received a ‘A’ rating for it.

Ranbir Kapoor said why he went into the restroom after hearing the ‘Animal’ script
Ranbir recalls hearing the script for Animal from Sandeep Vanga during a talk with Telugu actor Nandamuri Balakrishna on his show, Unstoppable with NBK. The actor claimed to have dashed into the restroom and spent six to seven minutes inside. In his own words, “I think when Sandeep sir came to narrate the story to me, the title was very different. It was a different title but when he made me hear the story, I remember I said, ‘Sir, one minute.’ I went to the bathroom and didn’t come out for five minutes.”
Ranbir indicated that the character was quite different from his past portrayals when he revealed the cause for his act of rushing into the bathroom. Ranbir shared the following information, “I was so scared to play this part because I felt it was so different from all the characters I have done and I am also grateful that he was giving me an opportunity to play a part like this. Not many directors see me in roles like this. And outside, he was smoking cigarettes because he was thinking (he was panicking).”
Ranbir also admitted that he was skeptical about playing the role. The actor admitted to glancing into the toilet mirror to see himself as the role, just as the director had imagined.

Sandeep Vanga mistook Ranbir Kapoor’s rejection of the film ‘Animal’ for his own
During the same episode, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga revealed that he thought Ranbir’s approach of rejecting a film was to blame. Ranbir further on his thoughts on the subject, saying, “I narrated the script, the story was over and he said he would be back and left the room. But he won’t come out. I thought it was probably his style of saying no. I thought this was how Hindi actor probably say no when they don’t like scripts.”
Sandeep Vanga, the acclaimed director, earlier directed the smash Arjun Reddy and its Hindi adaptation, Kabir Singh. Sandeep added in the same chat that Ranbir walked out of the bathroom, consented to the project, and praised the director for the amazing script.
Animal is planned to be released on December 1, 2023, and Ranbir fans are excited to watch the actor in a new role.
