Kashish Kapoor recently uploaded a picture on Instagram, revealing that she has filed an official complaint after receiving threats for choosing money in the ‘Splitsvilla X5’ final.
Splitsvilla X5 was filled with drama, twists and turns, and fun, keeping viewers glued to their televisions. Tanuj Virwani and Sunny Leone presented the season, which premiered on March 30, 2024, and quickly gained popularity. Although the show’s finale aired on August 11, 2024, a few disputes persist. Kashish Kapoor, one of the participants, has faced criticism after she decided to leave the competition for financial reasons. After much pain, she decided to take action and provided an update on how her Instagram handled the situation.

Kashish Kapoor has been in the spotlight since Splitsvilla X5’s finale aired. Her decision to accept Rs. 10 lakh rather than compete in the finale stunned netizens. As a result, she has been subjected to continual online criticism and hate remarks. In addition, she got death threats, forcing her to take action.
On August 21, 2024, Kashish Kapoor took to Instagram to inform her fans that she has taken legal action against the cyberbullying directed at her. The influencer provided a copy of her formal complaint against bullies and trolls. According to the photo, she filed a complaint at the Amboli Police Station in Mumbai. Kashish shared the photo, writing,
“With the help of a lawyer, the complaint has been submitted physically as well. Enough is enough. I thank each and every one of you, jinhone meri help ki hain.”

Reality programs may be stressful for the contestants, who are frequently pushed to make difficult decisions. On Splitsvilla X5, a similar circumstance occurred, with Uorfi Javed and Munawar Faruqui entering the show prior to the finale. They introduced a twist and presented an enticing offer to the finalists. According to their office, finalists were given the option of withdrawing Rs. 10 lakh from the winner’s total prize money of Rs. 15 lakh and leaving the game.
Kashish accepted the offer, shocking her partner, Digvijay Rathee. However, she then publicly apologised to him for her actions. However, the latter’s supporters were not convinced by her statement. Her decision drew considerable criticism from viewers. Kashish, on the other hand, stated that she came from a middle-class household and that money was important in justifying her decision.
Several other Kashish co-contestants, like Deekila Sherpa and Rushali Yadav, expressed their support for her via social media. They voiced their concern about the nasty threats against her and urged others to move on.
