The police recovered the accused’s mobile phone in which he recorded the video and found the footage on it.
A woman was raped on a busy road in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, on September 4th. Instead of interfering, onlookers filmed the sexual assault with their phones and shared it on social media, where it rapidly went viral.
Mohammad Salim, an auto-rickshaw driver from Prakash Nagar in Nagda, has been arrested after filming a woman being raped on a footpath in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. The police have also recovered the accused’s phone.
The police discovered a video of the rape incident on the accused’s phone and are gathering information about those who shared and circulated it. SP Sharma also stated that the police are investigating whether the video was shot as part of a conspiracy.
He Said, We are also trying to ascertain the intention behind deliberately making the video viral by the accused
SP Sharma reported that a separate complaint has been filed against the accused auto driver under sections 72, 77, and 294 of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), the IT Act, and the Indecent Representation of Women Act.

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav reacted sharply to the horrible crime, promising stern punishment for all those involved.
The event occurred on Wednesday afternoon near Koyla Phatak, one of the city’s busiest junctions. The accused, Lokesh, was later arrested.
According to police, the survivor, a ragpicker, encountered Lokesh in the neighborhood. He enticed her with the pretense of marriage and persuaded her to accompany him.
He enticed the woman into drinking alcohol, and once she was drunk, he brought her to a roadside shelter and raped her.
